Adventures in Photography

So my latest addiction of photography has spiraled out of control!  I'm a picnik addict as well, learning all the cool tricks of the trade.

My most recent adventure took place at Greasewood Flat, cowboy bar in northern Scottsdale.  This place was awesome and I am totally hooked on it and probably go here at least once a week to shoot if I could.  I'm still learning lighting and stuff, so there was a lot of post editing.

Without Further adue....here's the rewards :)

Kids in thier boots!

My Deegan and his killer blues

Baby Girl and another set of those killer eyes...thank you to my Husband for giving my babies those

This one is probably my personal Favorite...wouldn't it look so cool in a rustic wooden frame?  Sometimes I just surprise myself at how completely awesome i am!  haha.

And some of the other little ones that were there...
My Kim Anderson influence...

Love this shot!

One more...

That's all folks!  Hopefully I can get the next set up sooner! Oh and the pictures all look kinda different because I'm NOT a professional!  Still playing around with editing and stuff so some look cooler than others, can't quite make up my mind on techniques either, but that seems to be the common trend in my life anyhow!  Love it, Hate it, It's all good.  Just keep Swimming...

Back on Board

Attempting to do this blog thing again....

Here's what is new with us:
  • Macy is starting SECOND grade next week!
  • Lilly loves her hair in braids and gymnastics
  • Deegan is a brute
  • Jim is into guns
  • I'm totally into photography right now
  • My Meetup groups rock
So our oldest is venturing into the world of second grade!  I can't believe it!  She's been so awesome with the kids this summer and I have enjoyed having her with us so much.  It's sad for me that she'll be off again in her school world.

Lillian is growing up so fast!  At the end of the month our bug is going to be 3!  She is taking all the time now, telling stories, jokes, and just being her funny self.  She has to have her hair in braids, no more pig tails mommy. Gymnastics brings out the monkey in her too, she loves it!

Mr. Deegs as we call him, is quite the brut.  He's a boy in every ounce of his little buff body.  He growls when he sees dinosaurs, monsters, or frogs (not sure about the last one).  Loves dogs, his cars and trucks, and destroying things and making large messes.  Lately he's been pretty aggressive too, so we are struggling to take the beast out of him.

Jim is starting his interest in guns/rifles.  I love that he found something he is really into.   He's been reading and researching non-stop.  He is so excited about hunting this year as well.  Just have to look into hunter's safety course and concealed weapons training.

As for me, photography is my latest obsession.  Guess it all started when the kids were born, then got more attached when looking for a wedding photographer, now I found a mom's meetup group that focuses around it and I am completely hooked!  I desperately want a nice big camera, but I need to focus on what I have already and master that one, when I can do that, then I can say I ready for a good one.
I am really having a blast with my moms meetups, they help me to stay busy, organize myself better, and keep things in perspective.  It's always nice to have friends that understand what you and can relate to the latest tantrum or household chaos.  We all kinda lift each other up and give each other one more thing to smile about.
